Short version: Samepage keeps the information you enter about the people and pets you care for on your own device. We don't have accounts, we don't run a server that stores your data, and we don't sell or share anything. Samepage is made for adults who share care – co-parents, family members and paid caregivers looking after a loved one, and pet parents and sitters – not for children.

1. What Samepage stores, and where

Everything you enter – schedules, custody and care calendars, messages, expenses, receipts, profiles of the kids, adults or pets you care for, daily care and feeding / walk logs, medication check-offs, emergency info, medical and vet logs, documents, photos and settings – is saved only on your device, in your browser's storage (localStorage) for the Samepage website or the Samepage Android app. It is not uploaded to us. We cannot see it, and we cannot recover it if you clear your browser data or uninstall the app, so please use Settings → Your data → Back up all data regularly. Backup files you export are saved where you choose; you control who you share them with.

2. Outside links (no medicine information in the app)

Samepage is a family organizer: you type your own notes and set your own reminders. Samepage does not provide, look up, download or store any medical information, and it does not contact any medical or drug database.

Next to a medicine you entered, a Look it up button can open an outside website in your browser: MedlinePlus, from the U.S. National Library of Medicine (medlineplus.gov), or in Pets mode Animal Drugs @ FDA (animaldrugsatfda.fda.gov). Nothing is sent unless you tap the button. For MedlinePlus, the medicine name you typed is put into the search link; no names of people or pets, doses, schedules or other personal details are included. Once the outside website opens, its own privacy policy applies.

3. Payments

If you buy Samepage Premium, payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's secure checkout page. We never see or store your card number. Stripe processes your payment details under the Stripe Privacy Policy. We may receive the information Stripe provides to merchants for a purchase (such as your email address and the plan you bought) so we can provide your license code and support.

Premium license codes and owner codes are checked on your device only; your Premium status is saved on that device (and in backups you export).

4. What we don't do

No accounts, sign-ups or logins.
No advertising, ad trackers or analytics SDKs.
No selling, renting or sharing of your personal information.
No collection of location, contacts or files from your device. If you choose contacts in your phone's contact picker, import a contacts file (.vcf) or calendar file (.ics), or paste or share an appointment email or text, it is read on your device and stays inside Samepage. Samepage cannot read your address book or email on its own; it only sees what you pick or share.

5. Notifications and permissions

Samepage only asks for notification permission if you turn on reminders. Notifications are created on your device; they are not sent from a server.

6. Hosting

The Samepage website is hosted on Netlify. When you load the app, Netlify's servers receive standard web request data (such as IP address and browser type) needed to deliver the files, as described in the Netlify Privacy Policy. The app content you create is not sent to Netlify.

7. Adults only (18+)

Samepage is only for adults 18 or older. Before using the app, you confirm you are 18+ and accept the Terms of Use; that confirmation and its date are saved on your device only. Samepage is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has sent us personal information (for example by email), contact us and we will delete it. Information an adult enters about a child, an adult in their care or a pet stays on that adult's device.

8. Deleting your data

Because your data lives on your device, you are in full control: use Settings → Data & privacy to export your data, clear sample data or delete all your data, clear your browser's site data for samepage-app.netlify.app, or uninstall the app to delete everything. For purchase records held by Stripe, contact us and we will help.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
